Corbey labour-law MCP

Corbey's HR expert for EU + UK labour law (statutes, consolidated codes, official HR guides and bills): answers with the acts, articles and source links they rely on. Requests need an access token (Authorization: Bearer <TOKEN>) provided by the Corbey team.

Claude

Claude Code

claude mcp add --transport http corbey https://mcp.corbey.ai/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer <TOKEN>"

Check with claude mcp list; inside a session, /mcp shows the tools.

Claude Desktop

  1. Settings → Developer → Edit Config (opens claude_desktop_config.json).
  2. Add the server (needs Node.js for npx):
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "corbey": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": ["-y", "mcp-remote", "https://mcp.corbey.ai/mcp", "--header", "Authorization: Bearer <TOKEN>"]
    }
  }
}
  1. Restart Claude Desktop; corbey appears in the tools menu of a new chat.

claude.ai (web)

  1. Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
  2. Name: Corbey, Remote MCP server URL: the URL above.
  3. Enable the connector in a chat via the tools menu.

claude.ai custom connectors authenticate with OAuth only and cannot send a static Bearer token, so they work only with a token-free deployment. With a token, use Claude Code or Claude Desktop.

ChatGPT

  1. Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings → turn on Developer mode (Plus / Pro / Business / Enterprise).
  2. Apps & Connectors → Create.
  3. Name: Corbey, MCP Server URL: the URL above, Authentication: as provided by the Corbey team.
  4. Tick “I trust this application” and create. In a chat, pick Developer mode in the + menu and enable Corbey.

ChatGPT connectors authenticate with OAuth or no authentication and cannot send a static Bearer token, so they work only with a token-free deployment.

Onyx

Step 1 connects the server, step 2 turns the tool on for the default assistant or a dedicated agent.

Step 1. Connect the MCP server

  1. Admin Panel → Actions → From MCP server (add MCP server).
  2. Name: Corbey, Server URL: the URL above, Transport: Streamable HTTP.
  3. Authentication: API Token, Credentials: Shared token, API Key <TOKEN> (sent as Authorization: Bearer <TOKEN>). With Personal token every user would have to enter their own token, and users without one get no Corbey tools.
  4. Connect, list the tools, keep ask_hr_expert enabled and save. The server shows as Connected.

Connecting is not enough: Onyx calls the tool only for agents that have it enabled (step 2).

Step 2. Turn it on

  1. Default assistant: Admin Panel → Chat Preferences → Tools → enable ask_hr_expert.
  2. Or a dedicated agent: Admin Panel → Agents → New agent, name Corbey, enable ask_hr_expert in Actions, share it with your organization.
  3. No system prompt is needed: when to use Corbey and how to present its answers come with the tool (its description and the rules in every response). After a server update press Refresh tools.

Step 3. Check

  1. Ask “Which Polish regulation sets the minimum wage for 2026?”.
  2. Above the answer Onyx shows the tool step ask_hr_expert, and the answer ends with Sources (Corbey knowledge base): and links to the regulation.
  3. If the answer cites only websites and Onyx shows no ask_hr_expert step, the Corbey tool is not enabled for that agent: repeat step 2.

Try it

Ask: “What is the maximum probationary period in Poland?” or “Which Polish regulation sets the minimum wage for 2026?”. Answers name the act and article and end with links to the Corbey sources.
